Kansas City 1 – Baltimore 7Machado became the youngest player in Orioles history to record a multi-homer game

Playing in only his second major league game, Manny Machado slammed a pair of home runs and had four RBI to help the Orioles to a 7-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals.  At just 20 years old and 35 days, Machado became the youngest player in Orioles history to record a multi-homer game. Miguel Gonzalez pitched eight strong innings allowing one earned run and striking out five. Gonzalez walked one batter.

Tampa Bay 12 – Minnesota 6 – Matt Joyce drove in four runs with a two-run homer and a two-run double, and light hitting José Molina drove in three runs, to help the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Minnesota Twins 12-6 . Desmond Jennings had three hits and three runs scored, and Jeff Keppinger added two hits to lead a suddenly potent Tampa Bay offense with 13 hits.

Oakland 3 – Chicago 4 – Returning from the disabled list Brandon McCarthy allowed three runs and six hits over six innings of work, McCarthy walked one and struck out four in the game.   A.J. Pierzynski, Dayan Viciedo and Alexi Ramirez for the White Sox

Detroit 6 – Texas 2 – Prince Fielder blasted a three-run homer to help the Tigers beat the Texas Rangers. Josh Hamilton added a solo shot. Max Scherzer turned in a quality start allowing two runs on eight hits over six innings. He struck out eight.  Nelson Cruz left the game with lower back stiffness

New York 10 – Toronto 4 – Ichiro Suzuki went 2-for-5 and drove home five runs and Freddy Garcia allowed just two runs and five hits in six innings of work to lead the Yankees to a victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Kelly Johnson was 2 for 4 with a double and a home run for two RBI. Ricky Romero pitched seven strong innings allowing just two earned runs, but the Toronto bullpen would give up seven runs over the next two innings.

Boston 3 – Cleveland 2 –  Clay Buchholz turn in a masterful two hit complete game victory over the Cleveland Indians. Rookie sensation Will Middlebrooks was removed from the game after being hit with a pitch and was sent for x-rays. Middlebrooks is hitting  batting .288 with 15 homers and 54 RBIs. Asdrubal Cabrera had both Cleveland hits

Seattle 5 – Los Angeles 6 – Mike Trout drove in five runs with a three-run homer and a two RBI sacrifice fly to help the Angels to a 6- 5 win over the Mariners. MVP candidate Trout now has 65 RBI in 90 games,
