CHICAGO – Erik Bedard did not bring his “A” game tonight and was rocked for nine runs, eight of those earned in just over four innings of work, and the Cubs beat the Pirates 14-4
Anthony Rizzo, Starlin Castro and Darwin Barney each homered for the Cubs.
The Pirates bullpen did not fare much better on the evening, giving up five earned runs the rest of the way.
